  私がここで「この錠剤を飲めば京都大学に合格できる」と言えば、誰も信じない。なぜなら、私は無名の講師であって私の言うことは小さなウソだからだ。しかし、テレビなどのマスコミを使って有名俳優に「うちの予備校に来たら京都大学に合格できる」かのような宣伝をしたらどうだろう？

　現実を見れば「マスコミ＋有名人」による大きなウソに騙される人は多いことが分かる。アマゾンのような世界的な企業でも、そこに書かれているレビューは「サクラ」が大量に動員されている。つまり、ウソが多い。しかし、世界的に展開している企業のウソは大きなウソなので多くの人が騙されてしまう。

　「食べログ」の評価をめぐって、食べログ側が敗訴した。そのシステム（アルゴリズム）が公開されていないので、恣意的な評価なのか信頼に足る評価なのか我々には知ることができない。

　予備校や塾の宣伝は、もっと不透明なのが現実だ。

 If I were to say here, "Take this pill and you will pass Kyoto University," no one would believe me. This is because I am an unknown lecturer and what I say is a small lie. But what if I use the TV and other mass media to advertise to famous actors as if they can pass Kyoto University if they come to my prep school?



　Reality shows that many people are deceived by the big lie of "mass media + celebrity. Even for a global company like Amazon, the reviews on its website are written by a large number of "cherry-picked" reviewers. In other words, there are many lies. However, many people are deceived because the lie of a globally operating company is a big lie.



　The "Eating Log" side lost a lawsuit over the evaluation of "Eating Log. Since the system (algorithm) is not disclosed, we cannot know whether the ratings are arbitrary or trustworthy.



　The reality is that advertising for prep schools and cram schools is even more opaque.
