One day a farmer went to the nest of his goose to see if she had laid an egg.To his great wonder and delight he found that instead of an ordinary egg ,she had laid an egg of pure gold.He rushed to the house in great excitement to show his wife the treasure he had found and she was overjoyed.
Everyday thereafter the farmer visited the nest, and every day he found the Goose had laid a beautiful glittering golden egg.
The farmer took the eggs to the market and soon began to get rich.But it was not long before he grew inpatient with the Goose because she gave him only a single golden egg a day.He was not getting rich quickly enough.
