As per The Information, Google has opted to debut its GPT-4 competitor in January and has canceled its Gemini launch events that were set for next week. With its promotion of Gemini as a fundamental model with "impressive multimodal capabilities" early in its training, the firm teased the model during I/O 2023.
While insiders told The Information that Gemini was having trouble with non-English queries, CEO Sundar Pichai decided to postpone the product's rollout.
